The Reunion (Vampire Diaries) by L.J Smith (Book 4) *Spoilers of book 3*

Love sucks.
Damon is forced to put his trust in the brother he loathes when Elena is threatened by a terrifying evil. Can Stefan keep his promise to Elena and protect the town from it's most powerful villain yet?
Who will be the casualty?
Pages- 246

This book is the fourth in the series now and it's again about a girl called Elena Gilbert who is torn between her boyfriend and his brother, who have completely different personalities and are vampires. The end of the third book seals Elena's fate and she dies in order to allow them to live and try and bring them together. So this book was focused on not only Stefan her boyfriend and Damon her brother but also her close circle of friends dealing with the fact that she is gone. Stefan finds this particularly hard as it means he has to try and trust his brother to protect the town from something much that killed Elena.

So this is one of these books which you can't really just pick up and read without reading the pervious three, as the author doesn't really retrace much of the information in the pervious books. The story line of this book was even better than the last one which surprised me as I didn't think I would enjoy it as much with Elena being gone. I loved how Bonnie was now the main character of the book and continued to write in a diary just like Elena did. I enjoyed how Damon's character was played right till the very end, when they all doubted him and it twisted into something completely different. The best part of the book for me was the ending, I really enjoyed the ending of the third book (The Fury) but this was really captivating.I literally could not put it down. I read and read on Sunday morning until I finished it and I love when a book sucks me in like that. My favourite character out of this series I think is Damon as he is kind of the bad guy, when he really is good guy and he tries his best and he usually doesn't get enough credit for that. All in all, I would recommend this series just to get to this book to find out how it all pans out for the characters.. I am very excited to start the next one! :)

P.S Hope you enjoyed my book review, stay tuned for the next one!

The Fury (Vampire Diaries) By L.J Smith (Book 3)

Love can kill.
Faced with ultimate evil, Stefan and Damon must put their feud behind them and join forces with Elena to confront it- not knowing that, in doing so they are finally sealing her fate....
Can love conquer all?
Pages- 218

This book I have thoroughly enjoyed and I think it may be my favourite so far in The Vampire Diaries series. I originally started this series as I wanted to watch the series on TV and thought that it would be best to read the books first. At first I was a little confused as the Elena in the story has long blonde hair and in the tv series it is dark and brown and the copies I have of the books have the tv characters on them which was kind of annoying.
As you can probably tell from the summary, this story is about a human girl whose boyfriend is a vampire. Although Elena loves Stefan, Damon his brother can be very persuading and always gets what he wants and right now it's Elena. Stefan and Damon do not get on very well but when bad things start to happen in the town that Elena lives in, Stefan and Damon have to put their differences aside to protect her.
The beginning of the book was a great start to complement the ending of the last book. There was definitely a few pages where I began to think, we are not going to get the happy ending that we see in our usual  love story, but the story twists and turns into something you completely do not expect which is why I am enjoying reading the series as I am kept entertained and in suspense. I also like how the author in her writing leaves room for my imagination to look at all the outcomes which makes it very exciting to read. I loved how short it was also, as I sometimes find reading larger books a chore if I am not enjoying them. Overall my favourite section of the book was the ending which was outstanding, like I have said, it has kept me guessing and when I finally did know everything I was shocked. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a vampire fiction fan to give it a chance too, don't be so quick to disregard it because it is now a tv series!

P.S Thanks for reading my very first book review! I hope you enjoyed it, stay tuned for the next book review :) xx
